The Amateur Menagerie Club is for private individuals or groups who keep non-domestic mammals, birds, reptiles and amphibians of any number or size.

History

The Amateur Menagerie Club was setup by Sir Garrard Tyrwhitt-Drake (1881-1964) and ran from 1910 until 1929 when it ended, probably due to Tyrwhitt-Drake’s move away from the amateur to the professional when he opened Maidstone Zoo (1939-1959).
